Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Orthopedic rehabilitation addresses any impairment to the musculoskeletal system- the system in our bodies which gives us form, movement and stability. It is comprised of bones, muscles, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joints, and other connective tissue.

At Therapy Works we provide orthopedic rehabilitation to patients of all walks of life with various musculoskeletal problems. Some such conditions involve movement restrictions and/or pain in the back, neck, knee, shoulder or other more complex joint issues. Research has proven that utilizing physical therapy both before and after any orthopedic surgery is paramount to complete functional recovery. Our patients can testify to the benefits of maximizing motion and strength prior to surgery in order to expedite and enhance their recovery afterward.

Our goal at Therapy Works is to determine the ‘source’ of your orthopedic problem; help you fully understand the issue; treat you with skill and care; and teach you how to manage your condition independently as soon as possible. We will use some combination of manual therapy, exercise, modalities, body mechanics training, and home programming. We know that your success in physical therapy is dependent on several things: your full understanding of the issue, a comprehensive treatment approach in the clinic, as well as your cooperation with home programming.
